Wildlife Removal Services in Central Indiana
Eight services, one operating philosophy: trap the animal, fix the building, document the work, and warranty the result for two years. James Shrake leads every job. 111 five-star reviews say the same thing in different words - showed up, did the work, did not come back because they did not have to.
Trap-and-go versus trap-and-fix
There are two ways to run a wildlife removal business. The trap-and-go shop sets a cage, catches the animal, hands you an invoice, and drives away. Six weeks later a new animal finds the same open soffit and you are calling someone else. The trap-and-fix shop catches the animal and then closes the building so the next one cannot get in. The first model is faster. The second is the one that earns a two-year warranty.
We are the second model. Every job that involves an animal in a structure ends with the entry point closed in hardware cloth, galvanized steel flashing, and polyurethane sealant - the materials that hold for a decade. The trap work is the obvious part. The exclusion work is the part that decides whether you call us again next year, and the reason most of our work comes from word of mouth in Hamilton and Marion County.
James Shrake runs every job personally. The reviews you see online are not aggregated franchise reviews - they are jobs James worked. The two-year warranty is the contract version of the same idea: if we sealed it and an animal gets through, we come back, no charge.
What we do
Raccoon Removal
The most common attic call in central Indiana. Female raccoons den in attics to raise kits in spring. We trap the adult, hand-remove kits where present, decontaminate the attic, and close the entry with welded hardware cloth and steel flashing.
Bat Removal
Indiana brown bats and big browns roost in soffits, gable vents, and ridge gaps. We install one-way exit valves so the colony leaves on its own, then seal with quarter-inch hardware cloth. Maternity season changes the timing - we work around the regulations.
Squirrel Removal
Gray and fox squirrels chew through fascia, soffit returns, and gable vents. We trap on the travel route, remove the litter where present, and close every adjacent vulnerability so the next dispersing juvenile cannot just walk in next door.
Mole Control
Eastern moles tunnel through Indianapolis lawns every spring and fall. Poison bait fails because moles are insectivores. Scissor and harpoon traps set on confirmed active runs - identified by the stomp test - end the problem in days, not weeks.
Groundhog Removal
Burrows under decks, sheds, and slabs turn into structural damage within two or three seasons. We live-trap on the travel run, screen the entries with anchored hardware cloth, and collapse the tunnel system in stages so a new juvenile does not just move in.
Dead Animal Removal
Locate by smell gradient and fly hatch, cut to it where it is in a wall, remove under full PPE, decontaminate the cavity with enzymatic cleaner. Same-day on most calls and a photo log for your insurance file.
Animal in Attic
The scratching, the thumping, the urine stain on the ceiling. We identify the species from the entry pattern and the droppings, trap and remove, decontaminate the affected insulation, and close the entry under the two-year warranty.
Exclusion & Animal-Proofing
The carpentry side of the trade. Hardware cloth in the right gauge, galvanized steel flashing where wood meets masonry, polyurethane sealant where seams move. Targeted single-entry to whole-perimeter campaigns, all under the two-year warranty.
Twelve cities across central Indiana
We work the Indianapolis metro and the towns that ring it - Hamilton County north, Hancock and Madison east, Boone west, and Marion at the center. Twelve cities total, picked because they are where we already have a route running. Anything outside that radius gets a phone conversation first to decide if it pencils out for both of us.
The cities we cover regularly: Indianapolis across all townships, Carmel, Fishers, Westfield, and Noblesville through the Hamilton County corridor, Zionsville on the west side, Greenfield, McCordsville, and Pendleton on the east, Anderson and Muncie as our northeast reach, and Fortville in the gap between. Same-day response is the standard inside the Hamilton and Marion County core. Madison and Delaware County calls usually get a next-day visit.
Every city we cover gets the same operating model: James leads the job, the exclusion work carries the two-year warranty, and the photo log goes with the invoice. The phone number works seven days a week - active emergencies do not wait for Monday.
